This is a wonderfully evocative piece that I feel captures the tension and fear that Sam and Dean must have gone through before Sam left for Stanford. The body language of the brothers portrays their larger roles in each others lives, with Dean as the protector and Sam as the tainted innocent, immersed in a world that he did not ask to be a part of. The color scheme is moody and dark, and the monster is charmingly grotesque.petite_madame's commentary is also fascinating, and well worth a read if you have a few minutes.
